Programme Officer

CGHP are recruiting a Programme Officer to join the team. The role will provide comprehensive support to ensure successful delivery of the CGHP programme, working closely with the Director and other members of the CGHP team.

The Role

Salary: £25,000 p/a

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Term: Full time, permanent

Deadline for applications: Friday 15th January 2021, however we reserve the right to close this vacancy once a sufficient number of applications have been received or a successful candidate is found.

First interview provisional date: Wednesday 20th January 2021 but this is subject to change.

We are looking for a Programme Officer, who will provide comprehensive support to ensure successful delivery of the CGHP programme, working closely with the Director and other members of the CGHP team. The role is diverse, and will include project management, research, finance management, supporting communications and fundraising. The Programme Officer will also be expected to represent the organisation locally in Cambridge, nationally and internationally.

Chair of Committee

This is a great opportunity to Chair the CGHP Advisory Committee at an exciting time for the programme as it seeks to deliver its 2020+ Strategy.

The Role

Deadline for applications – 17 January 2021

The purpose of the CGHP Committee is to act as an advisory committee, maintaining oversight of Cambridge Global Health Partnerships and advising the Director on strategy and delivery; and to identify and request advice from the Addenbrooke’s  Charitable Trust (ACT ) Trustees on such matters as are reserved to the Trustees. CGHP is a linked charity of ACT – the charity for Cambridge University Hospitals.

The Chair of the CGHP Committee is a key role for the Committee and beyond, having an important  representation function across Cambridge and the wider UK Health Partnerships community. This will be the third Chair of the CGHP Committee.

The Chair will be based within c.25 miles of Cambridge, and will have access to relevant international / global health / funding networks, and relevant experience and skills to guide CGHP to implement its 2020+ Strategy, and to build a larger and more sustainable funding base to enable a period of good growth. The Chair will also need to ensure that CGHP retains its very special feel and role in the Cambridgeshire NHS community.
