Myanmar Earthquake Appeal

Help us provide immediate and ongoing healthcare services to people across Myanmar.

On Friday 28 March 2025 a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck close to Myanmar’s second largest city, killing thousands and injuring many more. It comes on top of four years of civil war in Myanmar following a military coup that has caused the collapse of the healthcare system.

In June 2021, thanks to the dedication of healthcare workers from Myanmar and with support from Cambridge Global Health Partnerships, a free online telemedicine service was established, providing essential online clinics for patients across the country.

Increased support for the telemedicine service is now urgently needed.

The devastation of the earthquake is making access to healthcare near impossible and demand for the service is higher than ever. Funds are urgently required to help our partners sustain and expand delivery where help is most urgently needed.

With your support, together with our partners, we will:

  • Provide patients with immediate online access to dedicated healthcare professionals with a focus on trauma care and mental health support.
  • Collaborate with clinics and community-based organisations to supply hygiene kits, water, medicine and first aid supplies.
  • Coordinate with teams in Myanmar to provide a crash course in psychological first aid training.
