Dame Mary Archer

President

Dame Mary has a long-standing relationship with Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, fulfilling the roles of Chairman of Cambridge University Hospitals from 2002-2012 and Vice-Chairman of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust from 2005-2015. In 2006, Dame Mary and senior hospital clinicians founded Addenbrooke’s Abroad, which would become today’s Cambridge Global Health Partnerships.

Fiona Smith-Laittan

Chair

Fiona Smith-Laittan is Vice President of Global Health Strategy and Partnerships at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where her focus is on positively impacting the health of people in lower income countries through research, access and strengthened health systems. A proud graduate of the University of Cambridge, Fiona is passionate about the role of science and scientists for driving societal change, and the important contribution of academic excellence and international development to the UK’s position on the world stage.

Evelyn Brealey

Director

Evelyn Brealey joined CGHP (Addenbrooke’s Abroad) in 2008. Between 2011 – 2015 she was based in the Ministry of Health and Wellness in Botswana leading the Botswana Cambridge Health Partnership. Evelyn is an experienced international development professional with more than 25 years of international work experience in the UK, East and Southern Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe focussed on development of health, children’s and social services.

Hannah Wilson

Fundraising Lead

Hannah joined the CGHP team in June 2022. After completing a degree in music and doing some overseas travels across Africa, Asia and New Zealand, Hannah began her fundraising career working for two of London’s top orchestras. In 2011, Hannah joined the fundraising team at Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and spent 11 years raising funds for a wide range of projects across Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie Hospitals. Hannah’s involvement now stretches further afield, communicating and securing support for global healthcare as part of the CGHP team.

Philippa Norman

Fundraising Officer

Philippa joined the CGHP team in September 2025. After completing a History degree, Philippa took a break to travel, work with international students and complete an international development placement in Nepal. Philippa began her non-profit career working as a project manager for a small rare disease charity, focused on training and upskilling patient organisations. In 2023, Philippa completed her CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language. She taught in Portugal, Spain and the UK before working in a Cambridge college in communications and events management. As Fundraising Officer, Philippa supports across all areas of fundraising as well as exploring new initiatives and growing the wider fundraising strategy.

Alysia Peach

Team & Events Coordinator

Alysia joined Cambridge Global Health Partnerships in 2026 as Team & Events Coordinator. Working across the organisation, she supports the Director, Advisory Committee, Communications & Impact, and Programmes teams through operational coordination, event delivery, and the recruitment and onboarding of CGHP's fellowship and grant programmes. Originally from New York, Alysia has built her career across mission-driven organisations and high-growth technology companies in both the United States and the United Kingdom. She specialises in operations, customer success, communications and cross-functional project delivery, bringing clarity to fast-moving environments, strengthening collaboration, and building the systems and relationships that help organisations thrive.

Daud Khan

Operations Manager

Daud is a seasoned Operations and Project Management professional with over 20 years of experience across the United Nations, public and private sectors. Before joining CGHP, he spearheaded digital transformation, change management and policy projects while overseeing financial and operational management as core functions, driving efficiency across diverse organisations. He is skilled in financial management, complex budgeting and operational management, ERP/CRM rollouts, Agile delivery, and governance, and he delivers impactful change through technology, strategy, and sustainable practices.

Okka Aung

Programme Manager

Okka joined CGHP in June 2025 as a Programme Officer. He holds a medical degree from Yangon, Myanmar and a Master of Public Management from Victoria University of Wellington, awarded under the New Zealand Government Scholarship. Over the past eight years, Okka has worked with international non-profit organisations, focusing on programme management, partnership building and strengthening health systems. He brings a strong commitment to improving the health of vulnerable and conflict-affected populations, with particular interests in global health, community engagement and universal health coverage.

Lin Lin Htun

Programme Manager

Dr. Lin Lin Htun is a health program management specialist with experience leading large-scale health programmes in low and middle-income countries. His work focuses on strengthening health systems and expanding access to essential services in areas such as maternal and child health, nutrition, communicable diseases, and immunization.   Dr. Htun has extensive experience working with international organizations, including the United Nations and International NGOs. He currently works with Cambridge Global Health Partnerships in the United Kingdom, supporting international health partnerships and programme development. Dr. Htun completed his MBBS degree at University of Medicine (1), Yangon in 2005. He is a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program alumnus at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University in the USA and holds a Master of Public Health from Mahidol University, Thailand.   His professional interests include health policy, management of maternal and child health, communicable diseases control and immunization programmes, and also strengthening health systems.

Dr Mike Knapton

Dr Mike Knapton is a trustee and vice-Chair of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT), a former Non-Executive Director at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) and a Non-Executive Director at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. His career began with General Practice and has encompassed clinical, educational, commissioning, charity and governance roles. Throughout his career he has remained committed to patient-centred care in a publicly funded healthcare system.

Dr Tom Bashford

Tom Bashford is Assistant Professor in Healthcare Systems at the University of Cambridge, Consultant Neuroanaesthetist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH), Co-lead for Global Health at Cambridge Public Health interdisciplinary research centre and a longstanding CGHP member and committee member.

Dr Sue Broster

Dr Sue Broster is the Executive Director for Innovation, Digital and Improvement at CUH and a Consultant Neonatologist. She is also the Global Officer for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH). She has a longstanding commitment to both paediatrics and global health working in countries as diverse as Guyana, Botswana and most recently with the RCPCH neonatal programme in Myanmar.

Dr Fiona Cornish

Fiona Cornish is senior partner of a Cambridge GP practice. She is a member of the Council of the Medical Protection Society and a Trustee of Medical Support in Romania and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.

Dr Tony Jewell

Tony Jewell worked as a general practitioner (GP) in inner London for 10 years, establishing a modern health centre in a deprived area. Tony later trained in Public Health, and was appointed as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the Welsh Government in 2006 until retirement in 2012.

Tracey McClelland

Tracey McClelland was the Operations Director at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) until her retirement in 2025. She is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years NHS experience and holds an MSc in Healthcare Management. Tracey has participated as a Cambridge Global Health Partnerships member in Botswana and The Philippines and has helped set up new health partnerships.

Dr Rowan Burnstein 

Dr Rowan Burnstein is Consultant Anaesthetist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Deputy Postgraduate Dean NHSE East of England.
