Non-clinical

Non-clinical NHS staff do not directly provide clinical care or medical treatment to patients but their roles are essential for the overall functioning and support of healthcare services. They work in many different areas to make sure the systems, processes, technologies and resourcing work as well as they can.  Non-clinical staff include administrative and clerical staff, facilities management, finance and accounting and information technology. The skills these staff bring are essential to many global health partnerships, for example the Kakamega Workforce Project which is implementing continuous quality improvement across maternity and newborn care in Kakamega County, Kenya.
