Strategy and analysis

  • Social Return on Investment Analysis (SROI) – 2022

    16 March 2022

In 2022 we published our second Social Return on Investment Analysis (SROI), on the Kampala Cambridge Health Partnership –Working to Improve Maternal and Neonatal Health. This was prepared on a pro-bono basis by Costello Medical in collaboration with Cambridge Global Health Partnerships.

  • CGHP Strategy 2020+

    16 January 2020

Delivering, Enabling, and Achieving – these three strategic areas are the long-term focus for Cambridge Global Health Partnerships. The CGHP Strategy 2020+ is informed by successes and lessons learned since our beginning in 2007, and it is framed by the broader context of global health and sustainable development. We rely on the Strategy for our organisation’s planning and decision-making, as well as for raising awareness and galvanising support.

  • Social Return on Investment Analysis (SROI) – 2016

    16 March 2016

In 2016 Powering Partnerships conducted CGHP's first SROI of the Cambridge – El Salvador Partnership. The headline result was that for every £1 invested we delivered £3 of social value. The value is based and contingent on the assumptions set out in the report but indicated that our activities represent a very sound investment.

Retrospectives

  • CGHP Retrospective 2023

    16 December 2023

While our hybrid delivery model remained key, in 2023 we facilitated highly productive partnership visits to collaborate on the publication of guidelines and policies; deliver bedside teaching and simulation training, and get new partnerships off the ground. This year also saw the return of longer-term placements, with Addenbrooke’s Hospital critical care nurse Gayle Brunskill spending four weeks embedding critical care training with Ugandan healthcare workers in Kampala.

  • CGHP Retrospective 2022

    16 December 2022

2022 saw the much-anticipated return of in-person visits. It has been wonderful reuniting with our partners this year and delivering our work together in person. The visits provide an unparalleled opportunity to gain in-depth understanding and appreciation of other health care systems, and to develop the strong and trusting personal relationships that we know are fundamental as healthcare professionals across the world to improve healthcare globally.

  • CGHP Retrospective 2021

    16 December 2021

In an especially challenging year, CGHP members, volunteers and partners continued to co-design and co-deliver training, extend professional relationships, strengthen health systems and, during continuing times of particular stress for health workers, gain fresh perspectives and support through international friendship and partnership.

  • CGHP Retrospective 2020

    16 December 2020

The East of England Global Health Conference was a huge success. Bringing together over 120 delegates from across Cambridge and the East of England region, as well as online delegates joining from Uganda, Taiwan and Sri Lanka. This year CGHP also began developing the Global Health Fellowship scheme in collaboration and with support from Health Education England East of England.
