Audiology & ENT

ENT stands for Ear Nose and Throat and is also referred to as Oto(rhino)laryngology (ORL). Audiology and ENT are two related but distinct areas of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions related to the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck. Audiologists focus primarily on hearing and balance disorders and ENT specialists deal with a broader range of medical and surgical conditions in the head and neck region. The CGHP-supported Malawi Hearing Project involves healthcare practitioners from both specialisations.
