We are delighted to share a short video featuring reflections from some of the 2025 Global Health Fellows. The film captures how their experiences have shaped their clinical practice. The Fellows also reflect on how the fellowships have influenced their personal and professional development – from building confidence and leadership skills to strengthening their cultural competency and awareness of inequalities.
The CGHP Global Health Fellowships programme provides a unique opportunity for healthcare staff in Cambridge and the East of England to develop greater understanding and participate in global health activities. It is funded by NHSE East of England for doctors on an East of England Training Programme and by CGHP for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals at Cambridge University Hospitals. This year, the Global Health Fellows have supported projects within health partnerships that CGHP supports with India, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar and Zimbabwe as well as working with some new projects and partners in Kenya, Malawi and Tanzania.
In the film, Natalia Gliberry, an ENT Registrar and 2025 Global Health Fellow reflects on her experience of the fellowships:
“I learned about a different culture and healthcare system and that makes you appreciate what background people have and the challenges they might face and how they might be different to your own and I think that’s very transferrable to the NHS”
