New collaboration promises greater impact improving healthcare globally

Cambridge Global Health Partnerships (CGHP) is delighted to announce a new two-year partnership with Costello Medical, a strategic healthcare consultancy and certified B Corp that is committed to ethical and sustainable business practices.

This innovative and mutually beneficial partnership has grown out of previous successful collaborations with Costello Medical. In 2022/23, we worked with them on a social return on investment analysis and Costello sponsored our biannual East of England Global Health conference.

Through this bold new collaboration, Costello Medical will provide free advice and support to CGHP to help us further our mission to improve healthcare globally. We will benefit from Costello’s expertise in defining and monitoring the impact of global health partnerships, as well as renewed sponsorship of our biannual conference which returns in 2024.

“Just as our health partnerships are respectful and reciprocal so is our relationship with Costello Medical. I have no doubt that from this strong base much that is excellent will develop.”Evelyn Brealey, CGHP Director

This exciting initiative reflects both CGHP’s and Costello Medical’s ongoing commitment to improve healthcare quality worldwide, and we hope it inspires other collaborations as forces for good in the Cambridge region.

“This relationship embodies what we hope pro bono work should be – a two-way partnership that benefits all,” says Lucy Eddowes, Scientific Director and Head of Pro Bono at Costello Medical. “CGHP will benefit from our team’s expertise and resources to support their crucial work improving healthcare in low-income countries and closer to home. In return, our team will learn lots from CGHP about how to improve local healthcare in global health, where we hope our pro bono work will have a growing impact in the future.”

As an organisation that prides itself on fostering bi-directional learning and support between health providers in the UK and in low- and middle- income countries, CGHP Director Evelyn Brealey echoed this sentiment. “Just as our health partnerships are respectful and reciprocal so is our relationship with Costello Medical. I have no doubt that from this strong base much that is excellent will develop.”
